The activities of the centre are planned and run by a small committee of volunteers.

We would welcome new blood on the committee. If you have any spare time why not join us and find out what is involved.

In particular we need help with organising next year’s lecture programme and manning the raffle at lectures.

LECTURES COORDINATOR

1.    Do you have wide interests?
2.    Do you enjoy our Tuesday lectures?
3.    Could you welcome a visitor and make conversation with them?
4.    Could you write a few letters/emails?

If you answer yes to all of these you could be our Lectures Coordinator. This involves:

1.    Attendance at (almost) all lectures
2.    Selecting and arranging future speakers
3.    Looking after the speaker on the day

The committee has various sources for speakers and suggestions to support you.
The lecture season runs from October to March each winter.
You would begin with planning next winter’s season soon.
If you can help the centre in this way, you may qualify for a volunteer card which entitles you to a discount in National Trust shops and tea rooms.

Interested? Please contact us or speak to any member of the committee.

RAFFLES
Could you help collect and sort prizes and man the raffle stall at our lectures?
We have a small group of people who are currently running our raffles, but we need more help.
We normally have a supply of donated prizes so all that you need to do is be there.

Interested? Please contact us or speak to any member of the committee.
