Royal Sutton Coldfield Centre
for the National Trust

Walks
Our walks are Wednesday Ambles and Saturday Rambles.
Ambles are gentler walks, usually visiting a pub for lunch.
Rambles are longer walks, usually about 7 miles, and we
take along a packed lunch.
Ambles
All walks take place on the third Wednesday of each month
starting at 10.30 am.
Walks are usually between 4 and 5 miles long, and we normally start at and return to a pub for lunch.
Next Amble: Wednesday 20 May, 10.30am
Meet at The Old Irish Harp pub, Aldridge Road, Aldridge WS9 0LP. Map: OS Landranger series 139, Grid Ref. SK 075 006)
DIRECTIONS:
From Sutton Coldfield take A452 Chester Road, in the Brownhills direction. After passing Wm. Wheat Garden Centre, and then under a railway bridge, you will reach a double island with a left turn onto the Aldridge Road. The entrance to the pub is then immediately on your right hand side.
The island where the pub is situated can also be reached from Little Aston, where Little Aston Road crosses the A452 Chester Road. At the double is-land you will need to access the island on the left, and then turn right onto Aldridge Road, and immediately right to the pub entrance.
The walk is approximately 3½ miles in length, and there are no stiles.
